 Do You Need a Visa for Armenia?

 UAE Citizens

• No visa required. Citizens of the UAE can travel to Armenia visa-free and stay up to 180 days.

 UAE Residents (Expats)

• From 1 July 2025, Armenia has introduced visa-free entry for UAE residents (including expats) for up to 90 days within any 180-day period, provided passport and residence permit meet the minimum requirements. 

Indian Passport Holders / Other Nationals

• Nationals of countries like India must obtain a visa prior to travel — through Armenia’s online e-Visa portal or by applying at an Armenian Embassy/Consulate. Embassy of Armenia in India

 Document Requirements

 For UAE Citizens

• Valid Passport – with at least 6 months validity from the date of entry.

 For UAE Residents

• Valid Passport – with at least 6 months validity. 

• Valid UAE Residence Visa – with at least 6 months validity.

• Optional: Certified translation of your residence visa if only in Arabic.

 For Indian Citizens & Other Nationals

Most applicants will need:

✅ Recent passport-size photo
✅ Online visa application or embassy submission
✅ Proof of travel itinerary & accommodation
(eVisa available for tourism/business; physical visas may be required for some nationalities)

How to Apply for an Armenian Visa (e-Visa)

If you need a visa (e.g., Indian passport holders or residents of other countries), follow these steps:

1. Visit the official Armenia e-Visa portal: evisa.mfa.am eVisa

2. Create your account and start a new application form. eVisa

3. Upload the required documents. eVisa

4. Pay the visa processing fee online. eVisa

5. Submit your application and wait for approval (usually few business days). eVisa

After approval, you’ll receive your e-Visa via email — print it and carry it during your travel.

Visa Processing & Validity

• e-Visa processing: typically processed in a few days when documents are correct. 

• Validity: depends on visa type (short-stay up to 21/120 days if applicable).

Can UAE residents travel to Armenia with just a UAE tourist visa?

No. Residents must either qualify for visa-free entry (new GCC policy) or apply for an e-Visa based on nationality.

What if my UAE resident card is in Arabic?
